河北阳原人。高级研究员，中共党员，兼中国科学教育文化国际交流促进会会员，中国庐山文化交流中心研究员。1968年参军，曾任保定市电器厂、美术厂军代表。业余创作18年，在《工人日报》、《中国冶金报》及省市9家报刊发表作品。1986年参与编辑《宣化民间文学集成》三卷志书，有40余篇编入市区6本集成志书。1989年张家口市文化局召开《张家口市民间文学三套集成》四年成果表彰会，被评为三等奖。1991年《艺高瓜香》获首届“双凤杯”新故事大赛三等奖，并编入《张家口市新故事》、《浅议宣化庙宇的传说》编入《当代专家学者优秀论文集》和《中国优秀论文荟萃》并获二等奖。1998年《宣钢报》举办迎春联被评为三等奖。北京驰书文化艺术交流中心综合评定授予“世界文坛之星”称号。1994年以来荣誉成绩选入《世界名人录》、《中外名人辞典》、《中华英模大典》等180余部辞书。事迹编入国际世界华人远程交流网等几十家网站和数据库，向全球3亿网民发布。并且编入中国世界语出版社等数家出版的VCD彩色光盘，中国科技画报社出版的大型系列画册及台历典。泰国华夏国际交流中心和新加坡文化艺术中心，曾多次邀请出国参加国际交流会。资料被省市县区档案史部门收藏。全国有26个省市自治区文学出版团体来函信近500封进行交流。
